I created By Candlelight for women like me—women who spend so much time pouring into others that they often forget to pour into themselves. Each item is an offering, an intentional moment designed to help you pause, breathe, and embrace the beauty of being fully present. Some call it living in the moment, others call it self-care; I call it an act of intentional love, illuminated by the flicker of candlelight.

You know as well as I do that the world today is fast-paced, and the pressure to keep going can feel overwhelming. But something is shifting. Women everywhere are recognizing the importance of self-care—not just as a trend, but as an essential part of life. And with that shift comes a desire for something deeper: a kind of luxury that isn’t about extravagance but about meaning and intention. The market is ready for this new kind of luxury, and that’s where By Candlelight comes in.

My mental health journey taught me that luxury doesn’t have to mean extravagant vacations or unattainable lifestyles. It can be found in the glow of a candle, the softness of satin, the taste of something decadent, and the peace of taking a moment just for yourself. by Candlelight  is carefully curated to create those moments—moments in time where everything else falls away, and you feel like the most important person in the room.

The seduction lies in the details. Each kit tells a story, and the story starts with the packaging. Imagine a matte black box with a soft lace texture, tied with a deep crimson satin ribbon. Inside, the tissue paper shimmers with gold, and as you lift the lid, you uncover treasures: decadent chocolates, a hand-poured candle, raw honey from sun-drenched vineyards in Mexico, or maybe a silky eye mask crafted by my mom, who has rediscovered her love for fashion. Each item is chosen not only for its quality but for the story it carries—whether it’s from a Black female artisan, a small sustainable brand, or someone who poured their creativity into something truly beautiful. These aren’t just items I’ve purchased; they’re products I’ve worked with artisans to create exclusively for by Candlelight. From the seductive packaging to the sensual treasures inside, these kits are an experience. They’re a love letter to yourself, a reminder to take up space unapologetically, to rest, to dream, and to feel.

by Candlelight  is here to build a community—a growing group of women who value self-care, intentional living, and supporting small businesses. These women inspire me every day. They remind me why I started this journey: to show that luxury isn’t reserved for the wealthy, that rest isn’t something to feel guilty about, and that indulgence is something we all deserve.​
